About
Making clinical governance practical and easy to navigate
Frontline Clinical Governance provides specialist clinical governance support to organisations delivering immediate care.
Our practitioners remain active in frontline clinical practice. With many years of experience supporting organisations to design and deploy clinical governance frameworks, we bring genuine clinical credibility to every engagement — not just governance theory, but an understanding of how governance works in real operational settings.
We support organisations including independent ambulance providers, event medical services, emergency services, high-risk industries and immediate care organisations.
Whether supporting a focused piece of work or a broader governance programme, we deliver practical, proportionate solutions tailored to the needs of each organisation.
We work collaboratively with organisations to develop governance arrangements that are robust, sustainable and aligned with operational requirements, supporting the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality care.
Why clinical governance matters
There is growing scrutiny on medical providers to deliver properly governed clinical care. The introduction of Martyn's Law and the ongoing CQC consultation on regulation for event medical provision will increase that scrutiny further.
The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care, recommends clinical governance oversight wherever immediate care over and above basic first aid is being provided.
This means that a wide range of organisations should strongly consider having clinical governance arrangements in place — including:
- Independent ambulance services
- Event medical providers
- Statutory services such as police and fire
- High-risk industries deploying rescue or medical teams
Practical. Proportionate. Specialist.
